Our Weekend

Our busy weekend started out on Friday night
We had a surprise party for Joe's Step Dad
And boy was he surprised

He doesn't like a big deal being made of his birthdays. So on Thursday, his actual birthday every one acted low key just like he requested. Friday was a bit different though. We all gathered up at his house and surprised him when he got home from work. It was great food and company. Bert, the birthday boy had a blast. There's nothing better than a surprise party. The older you get the more silly you feel throwing yourself your own birthday party so a surprise party is the perfect solution. The only one that I have had was on my 22nd birthday and it was amazing. I was beyond surprised.

My parents are in town for a couple of weeks because my Dad has some business meetings all around Florida. They got in Friday but as you can see we were pretty busy. We headed on over there on Saturday to take the boat out on the water for a little bit. It was nice to be out and Aubs stayed in a good mood most of the time but when we stopped to fish it was HOT. Like really hot. I am so jealous of everyone else's blogs where they are sporting sweaters and boots. It feels like they are nowhere in sight down here.

Sunday we had the some of our family and friends over for football. My husband is a huge Eagles fan so yesterday was pretty disappointing. Losing to the Giants makes the sting even worse. I keep telling everyone that Karma must be kicking Mike Vicks butt because he has been injured two out of three games. Very sad for our beloved Eagles.

I didn't take any pictures while everyone was here because I forgot. I was too busy with the baby and the food I guess. Honestly I meant to take some but it slipped my mind. I did manage to get a few pictures of my girl afterwards in her new dress. Every time I see my Mom after I haven't seen her for awhile she has a big pile of clothes for Aubrey. She is a bit of a Zulily addict. The dress is by Itsus Eco. It's made from organic cotton and the company is all about manufacturing their products in an eviroment that is safe and healthy for the earth as well as their employees. I love the dress. I think it's super cute and comfy.

  2. At first I thought my fave pic was the one of Aubrey in the yellow stripes, with her arms up in the air. Then I saw the close up in her new dress, and it was just too much! She just has the sweetest face.
It looks like your family had a wonderful weekend. I loved reading about it!
