Pumpkin Painting Fail

My friend Kristen and I thought it would be fun to have our kids paint pumpkins
We thought wrong
They are 15 and 19 months
Clearly not the age interested in painting pumpkins
Aubs did a little bit of drive by action
But Kingston was more entranced by lizards
Oh well, we will try again next year

"Hmmm this might be fun"

"Nope. nevermind. I'm with Kingston. A playset that is too small for us is way better than pumpkins"

Kristen and I tried our hardest but they still weren't having it
This is just Aubs on another on of her drive bys

  4. Ha! Don't worry--I tried to get Baby T to do paper mache at like 18 months old. I thought he would love it, but all he wanted to do was to dump out the tubs of torn up newspaper. He wouldn't go anywhere near the mushy mess!

But you know what projects like that have taught me? That a plate of paint is much more fun than actually painting anything. Now I just give Baby T a plate of washable paint sometimes, and he goes to town. He usually ends up painting his toys, but the wonderful thing is that it washes right off.

  5. Ha, adorable! At least you, and they, tried. Sometimes I get all excited and prepped for a fun activity, and he could care less. Go figure! :)

p.s. am I missing it, do you have the GFC follow button? That's how I follow blogs and I'd like to follow yours but I don't see it. I'll be embarrassed if it's right in front of me ...
